Baron Von Whiskers is Cat Town's resident aristocrat — all velvet manners, monogrammed handkerchiefs, and an unshakeable belief that he is the smartest cat in any room. He keeps a grand mansion at the far end of the Park, drops in on Jimmy at the Police Station every Wednesday, and is never happier than on a Saturday at Paulie's poker table, with a hand of cards fanned out and a fortune on the line. A natural strategist who plays to win, the Baron is a gracious host and a famously poor loser; Captain Carter, his long-suffering chess partner, can attest that a defeat is rarely conceded without a lengthy post-mortem. Behind the pomp and the poker face, though, there's a sharp mind quietly steering rather more of the town's affairs than he lets on.
