KIBBLE is the beating heart of Cat Town—it's not just currency, it's the gold standard of our community. Think of it as the lifeblood that keeps everything running smoothly. KIBBLE is designed with three core principles in mind:
- Scarce - There's only so much KIBBLE to go around
- Fair - Everyone has equal opportunity to earn and participate
- Transparent - All transactions and distributions are onchain and verifiable
You'll earn KIBBLE through activities in Cat Town: fishing competitions, Paulie's fish raffle, selling treasures, events, and staking. The more you take part, the more opportunities you'll have to earn.

Staking Your KIBBLE
Want to put your KIBBLE to work? Staking earns you a share of Cat Town's revenue. Here's how it works in a nutshell:
- Stake your KIBBLE at the bank, the Wealth & Whiskers Trust (Theodore by day, Cassie by night).
- Earn revenue share twice a week: fishing revenue on Mondays and gacha revenue on Wednesdays.
- Claim or compound your earnings whenever you like.
When you stake, you're essentially becoming a shareholder in Cat Town's success. Your share of each revenue deposit equals your share of the total staked pool, so the more KIBBLE you stake, the bigger your slice.
Staked KIBBLE is locked. Unstaking starts a 14-day cooldown, and you earn no revenue while it unlocks. You can cancel the unlock at any time during the cooldown.

The Community Pot
The Community Pot is Cat Town's community fund, looked after by Jasper, the bank's accountant. Pop into the bank and he'll tell you exactly how much KIBBLE is in it.
How It Works
- Funded by visitors: the pot fills up from the many visitors who come to town to take part in the weekly fishing competition.
- Given back to players: KIBBLE from the pot is handed out to cats who take part in activities around town, like Paulie's fish raffle.
The pot helps keep Cat Town active and accessible to everyone, including players who are just starting out.
Pro Tip: Because Cat Town runs onchain, the Community Pot's balance is public. Jasper also shows what share of the circulating KIBBLE supply is sitting in the pot.
