๐๏ธ Fish Raffle
Welcome to Paulie's Weekly Fish Raffle, where your hard-earned catches become tickets to win big! Every week, Paulie, our charismatic games master, hosts a raffle that transforms your fish into chances at a growing prize pool. The more the community participates, the bigger the rewards!

Overview
The Fish Raffle is a weekly community event run by Paulie at the Cafe in Town Square. You trade in the weight of your catches for raffle tickets, and every ticket is a chance to win a share of the week's prize pool. The prize pool is paid out of the Community Pot, and it grows as more tickets are bought across the whole town.
How It Works
Getting Tickets
- When: Tickets are available on weekdays (Monday through Friday, UTC). The raffle is closed at weekends.
- Free Entry: Every player can claim one free ticket each week, whether you fish regularly or not.
- Trading Fish: Weigh your fish on Paulie's scale to earn more tickets. Each extra ticket costs 20kg of fish, so the heavier your catches, the more tickets you get.
- Weekly Limit: Each wallet can hold up to 200 tickets per week.
- Participant Cap: Up to 500 players can enter each weekly round.

The Draw
- Timing: The draw takes place every Friday at 20:00 UTC at the Cafe, just before the weekend fishing competition begins.
- Sales Close First: Shortly before the draw, ticket sales close and Paulie's scale locks while the tickets are tallied. You'll see "Sales closed, drawing soon..." during this window.
- Winners: 5 winners are drawn each week, and the prize pool is split evenly between them. Every ticket you hold is another chance to be picked.
- Claiming: Prizes aren't sent automatically. If you win, visit Paulie at the Cafe and claim your prize.
- Closed Period: Once the draw is done, the raffle stays closed over the weekend. Use that time to catch fish for next week's round!

Prize Pool System
The prize pool levels up through 8 stages based on the total number of tickets entered by all players in the current round. The more tickets the community enters, the higher the stage, and the bigger the slice of the Community Pot that goes to the winners.
Prize Stages
| Stage | Level | Total tickets from | Share of Community Pot |
|---|---|---|---|
| ๐ Guppy | 1 | 0 | 0.05% |
| ๐ Goldfish | 2 | 250 | 0.10% |
| ๐ก Pufferfish | 3 | 750 | 0.15% |
| ๐ Tuna | 4 | 1,500 | 0.20% |
| ๐ฌ Dolphin | 5 | 3,000 | 0.30% |
| ๐ฆ Shark | 6 | 6,000 | 0.45% |
| ๐ Orca | 7 | 10,000 | 0.65% |
| ๐ณ Whale | 8 | 15,000 | 1.00% |
The stage resets at the start of each weekly round. The raffle screen shows the current stage, how many more tickets are needed to reach the next one, and roughly how much each winner will receive.

Did you know? Because the stage depends on everyone's tickets, every ticket you enter helps grow the prize for all five winners, not just your own odds.
Stage thresholds and shares can change over time. If you have feedback about what you like as a player, please let us know!
Strategic Participation
Success in the raffle isn't just about luck it can be about timing and analysis:
- Study the competition: Monitor how many tickets are being purchased each week
- Choose your moment: Some weeks may offer better odds than others
- Fish strategically: Save up your catches for weeks with favorable conditions
- Participate consistently: Don't forget your free weekly ticket!
Sustainability
The Fish Raffle is designed for long-term, sustainable growth:
- Prizes come from the Community Pot, which is topped up by fishing activity around town
- Only a small percentage (0.05% to 1%) of the pot is paid out each week, so the Community Pot keeps growing over time
- This careful balance means more accessible features and non-turbulent growth for the entire Cat Town economy
